The final conference for the IPA project “Agricultural Contribution towards Clean Environment and Healthy Food” was held on 20 April 2015 in the assembly hall of the Secondary School of Agriculture and Food Technology “Stevan Petrović Brile” in Ruma. The final conference was intended for everyone who had participated in the project in any form and it also marked the completion of this two-year project.
The audience was greeted by the School’s Head Teacher and host Milan Pupovac, representative of the Provincial Secretariat for Agriculture Erna Šumec, member of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina Assembly Nenad Borović, Project Coordinator from the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad Maja Manojlović, Project Coordinator from Regional Development Agency Srem Sanja Strupar, Project Coordinator from Croatian Food Agency Sanja Miloš and Project Manager himself, Zdenko Lončarić.
After words of welcome and a coffee/media break, Professor of the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad Maja Manojlović gave a lecture and presented the overall results of the project research activities at the selected farms in Serbia. Similarly, the results were presented by Assistant Professor Brigita Popović of the Faculty of Agriculture in Osijek, who gave a thorough overview of all the analytical results obtained in Croatia. Prior to the debate, the last presentation was given by Jovana Dimov, Assistant to the Serbian Project Manager who talked about the implementation of project activities from its very beginning.
In the end, the host, Head Teacher Milan Pupovac, took the stage again to thank everyone for their participation in the project and wish them success in their further activities and continued implementation of the goals of this project.
With this conference, the AGRI-CONTO-CLEEN project was successfully brought to a close, and its results are to be further studied and published in the years to come.
