Education of agricultural producers (farmers) is an integral part of project implementation and, as such, is divided into multiple segments.
The majority of the education planned as part of the project will be carried out through these project events:
• Info days in Osijek (November 2013) and Novi Sad (May 2014)
• Farmer trainings in Vukovar (February 2014), Ruma (December 2014) and Vinkovci (March 2015)
• Farmer workshops in Ruma (February 2014), Osijek (December 2014) and Inđija (March 2015)
The above project events will include a series of lectures and practical examples for farmers related to fertilisation, plant nutrition and protection aimed towards increasing yields while reducing production costs and establishing sustainable environmental protection along with healthy food production.
Project handbooks and the project book will also be presented at the events and available for farmers’ use as help and advice in the overall food production process. In addition, the handbooks will also serve as student literature at the Faculty, since the Senate of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek has approved them as teaching literature.
Individual consultations at the Faculty of Agriculture in Osijek or at Croatian Food Agency in Osijek are also possible and open to all farmers involved in the project.
Alongside agricultural producers (as the target group), all other interested parties are also welcome to attend all of the project events.
